Shawn Cunix

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Shawn clawed his way up from humble beginnings, determined to rewrite his future. After graduating from The Ohio State University, he quickly carved out a successful career at a Fortune 50 company. But even as the paychecks got bigger, something inside told him he was meant for more.
His professional journey began with Abbott Labs, then Airtouch, where he became one of the top-performing sales reps in the nation. Yet it wasn’t the high commissions or corporate recognition that lit him up — it was the idea of building something of his own.
In 2001, with a vision and a basement, Shawn founded Wireless, a Verizon Wireless dealership. His radical focus on customer satisfaction and team culture disrupted the industry. What started as a single store with a handful of employees grew into a 70-location powerhouse with over 350 team members. By 2015, Wireless was one of the most successful Verizon retail operations in the country — and Shawn sold it at the peak.
But his story doesn’t end with a sale. It begins again, with significance and legacy in mind.
Shawn went on to acquire Toy Barn, a luxury car dealership, not just as a business investment, but as a platform to Inspire Happiness. Whether it’s gifting a dream car, mentoring young leaders, or surprising families in need, Shawn’s mission is clear: to use what he’s built to lift others higher.
Today, Inspire Happiness isn’t just a mantra. It’s a movement, and Shawn’s just getting started.
